■ Amazon S3 connector enhancements
IAM authentication support
In addition to the conventional access key authentication, we now support "IAM role-based authentication," which allows access by temporarily borrowing the IAM role of the connected AWS account. This eliminates the burden of access key management and the risk of data leaks, enabling Amazon S3 integration with improved security and operational efficiency.
Closed network connection support
Connecting to Amazon S3 using the AWS internal network via a VPC Endpoint is now supported. Because communication is completed within the AWS internal network, high security and stable communication quality can be ensured without going through external routes. This also enables system integration that handles highly confidential data, and also supports network restrictions required in the financial and public sectors.

■ Strengthened security
Adding IP Address Restrictions
To strengthen security when signing in to HULFT Square, we have added an "IP Address Restriction" function that allows you to restrict the IP address from which you connect.
This feature is applied on a domain-by-domain basis, and you can choose one of the following policies:
- Blocklist method: Reject logins from specified IP addresses only
- Allow list method: Only allow logins from specified IP addresses
This allows you to control the source of your connection, greatly reducing the possibility of account compromise, allowing you to use the service with greater peace of mind.
Email address domain restrictions
Added the ability to restrict the email address domains available for user registration.
By setting up a list of permitted domains in advance, the system will automatically block new registrations and email address changes from domains other than those approved.
This allows only authorized domains to be used, thereby achieving stricter registration management and improved security at the same time.
Other additions and changes
Other improvements and bug fixes have also been made.
Please refer to the release notes for more details.

"HULFT Transfer Application" meets detailed file integration needs
We have released the "HULFT Transfer Application," which provides HULFT9 functions as a native application.

HULFT Square has previously offered the "HULFT Transfer Service" as file transfer function. Now, by offering the new "HULFT Transfer Application" as a native application that runs in an independent container execution environment, flexible and detailed settings are possible, enabling the company to meet the needs for detailed file integration between on-premise and cloud systems.
- Accepting "send requests" and "resend requests" from remote host
- Send files to multiple remote host s at once "Broadcast send"
- "Transfer send Concurrency" specifies the maximum number of processes that can be executed simultaneously

October 6, 2024 (Sunday) Announcement of the release of new features HULFT Square
Release date
Sunday, October 6, 2024
Main new and additional features
Self-service creation of a closed network communication environment! "HULFT Square Link ver.2"
We have released a new function, "HULFT Square Link ver.2," which enables you to connect HULFT Square to your environment via AWS Private Link. Your environment refers to your AWS environment, as well as any on-premises environment connected to that AWS environment via AWS Direct Connect or VPN.

With "HULFT Square Link ver.2," customers can freely create AWS Private Link connections themselves without having to ask our operations team, enabling swift and flexible system operation.
In addition, communication between HULFT Square and the customer's environment is via a dedicated network, rather than via the public internet, providing the following benefits:
- Reduce the risk of external attacks and data leaks
- Guaranteed bandwidth ensures stable communication speeds and response times
HULFT Square Link ver.2 supports the following communications:
- Send files from your environment to HULFT Square via SFTP
- Communication from HULFT Square to the client's environment using various connectors
The previously available "HULFT Square Link" (ver. 1) and "HULFT Square Link ver. 2" differ in terms of available functions, required licenses, etc. Please refer to the table below and the documentation for details.

HULFT Square Link ver.2 is provided as a native application. A separate option contract is required to use it.
REST connector can now access servers with self-signed certificates
Previously, SSL communication using the REST connector required SSL server certificate verification, which meant that it was not possible to access servers that used self-signed certificates that were not signed by a trusted certificate authority (CA).
Using a self-signed certificate involves significant security risks, such as the risk of communications being intercepted or information being tampered with. However, there may be cases where a certificate signed by a certification authority is not required, such as for testing purposes or for servers with limited users within a closed communication network.
This release adds a setting to disable server certificate validation by the REST connector.
This allows the REST connector to access servers that use self-signed certificates.

This function makes it easier to link, for example, with DataSpider or HULFT related products that use self-signed certificates in an on-premises environment connected to HULFT Square via AWS Direct Connect, improving the flexibility of on-premises-cloud linkages.
- By executing the HTTP trigger of the DataSpider server, data in the on-premise environment is extracted and linked to the SaaS via HULFT Square
- By executing the API of HULFT 10 API Gateway or HULFT10 Smart Proxy, send requests and transmission requests are sent to HULFT in the on-premise environment.
etc.
Other additions and changes
Other improvements and bug fixes have also been made.
Please refer to the release notes for more details.
July 29, 2024 (Monday) Announcement of the release of new features HULFT Square
Release date
Monday, July 29, 2024
Main new and additional features
Supports connection to Amazon Athena
The Amazon Web Services connector now supports connecting to Amazon Athena.
Amazon Athena is a query service that allows you to extract data stored in Amazon S3 in formats such as CSV, JSON, and Parquet using standard SQL.

With this release, you can efficiently prepare data for visualization in BI tools by searching large amounts of files generated by date and time, such as log files or store-specific or daily sales data, as if they were a single table, without having to integrate them into an analytical platform such as a data warehouse.
FTP and VPN services
"FTP Service" and "VPN Service" have been added to the native applications that run various services as containers on HULFT Square platform.
By using the FTP service, you can run an FTP server on the HULFT Square platform and send files from the client environment to HULFT Square via FTP communication.
The VPN service provides a VPN to enable secure communication between the client environment and the FTP server.

The FTP and VPN services are provided through the HULFT Square application store, "App Square." Customers can install the services in their own environments from App Square and run them by allocating CPU and memory resources within the scope of their contract.
- A separate option contract is required to use this service.
Other additions and changes
Other improvements and bug fixes have also been made.
Please refer to the release notes for more details.
June 2, 2024 (Sunday) Announcement of the release of new features HULFT Square
Release date
Sunday, June 2, 2024
Main new and additional features
HULFT Square extension application "SFTP Service"
We have released the "SFTP Service," which allows you to run an SFTP server on HULFT Square platform.
The SFTP service is provided through HULFT Square application store, "App Square." Customers can install the SFTP service in their own environment from App Square and run it by allocating CPU and memory within the resource range of their contract.
- To use the SFTP service, a separate option contract is required.

By using the SFTP service, you can receive file transfer from external parties to HULFT Square via SFTP communication. Since the received files are stored in HULFT Square storage, you can also use file event jobs to execute scripts triggered by file reception.
For example, a manufacturing company can receive a parts list file via SFTP from a parts manufacturer with which they do business, and then use a subsequent script to read and process the parts list.
Going forward, HULFT Square will not only release applications that run as scripts for the HULFT Integrate service, but will also gradually release "native applications" that run as services on HULFT Square platform.

Extending application trigger conditions
The application feature allows customers to distribute scripts they have created as easy-to-reuse packages, and now allows them to create applications that use REST API jobs or file event jobs as trigger conditions.
It also supports creating applications with multiple trigger conditions.
Multiple trigger conditions are supported for file event jobs and scheduled jobs, and will be supported for REST API jobs in a future release.
This change makes it possible to distribute, for example, ad-hoc processing triggered by a file event job and batch processing triggered by a scheduled job as a single application, thereby streamlining a wider range of operations.

Ability to handle Google BigQuery SELECT results in dataflow
In the Google BigQuery connector's "Search SQL Execution Process", we have added an option to output the execution results of a SELECT statement to an output schema and pass them to subsequent processing via a data flow.
In the previous Google BigQuery connector, the "Search SQL Execution Process" function operated as a "SELECT-INSERT" function, which wrote the results of a SELECT statement into another table. However, with this change, data obtained by a SELECT statement can now be passed to subsequent operations via data flow for processing.

This allows you to search for data from Google BigQuery, process it using HULFT Square, output it as a CSV file, and then transfer it to an external business partner using HULFT Transfer service.
Storage Operation Log
You can now check the user operation logs for HULFT Square Storage.
The following information is recorded in the log:
- File upload/download
- Creating a new directory
- Deleting a file/directory
- Renaming files/directories
- Copying files/directories
- Moving a file/directory

By checking the storage log, administrators can see evidence of user operations on storage. This not only makes it easier to investigate whether the cause of a script failure was due to an unintended user operation, but also helps prevent information leaks and strengthen internal controls by reviewing policy permission settings based on the storage log.
HULFT Transfer job collection send Ability to switch management information by profile
When executing HULFT Transfer job, you can now switch between receive management information and send management information depending on the profile.
HULFT Square has previously offered a "profile" function for HULFT Integrate service that allows you to switch the connection destination for each phase, such as production, test, or development. With this change, you will also be able to dynamically switch settings such as receive host, send host, and file ID for HULFT Transfer service.
Other additions and changes
Other improvements and bug fixes have also been made.
Please refer to the release notes for more details.
January 28, 2024 (Sunday) Announcement of the release of new features HULFT Square
Release date
Sunday, January 28, 2024
Main new and additional features
Browser and email notifications
You can now receive notifications about various events that occur in HULFT Square on the HULFT Square screen (browser) or by email.
The main subjects of notification are as follows:
- When various jobs fail to run
- When HULFT Integrate service or HULFT Transfer service is started or stopped
- When the memory usage (metaspace) of HULFT Integrate service exceeds the preset threshold.
- When various monthly values that can be viewed on the dashboard exceed the thresholds that you have set in advance. The types of thresholds that can be set are as follows:
- Storage usage
- Data transfer volume
- Total CPU in use
- Total memory in use
- Number of VPC endpoints created
- Number of REST API jobs (API management) executed
- Please see the documentation for all notifications.
- The targets that can be notified differ between browser notifications and email notifications. Please refer to the documentation for details.
This feature makes it easier to recover from failed jobs, free up resources by restarting services, and review resource usage plans that are tied to billing.
Script dependency visualization
In script development, it is common to extract processes that are common to multiple scripts as common component scripts and reuse them using the script call function. However, if you use script calls frequently, the dependencies between scripts can become complicated.
>In addition, with the previous script call function, it was necessary to directly specify the version number of the script you wanted to call, so every time you edited a common component script and updated the version number, you also had to specify the version number again on the caller side.
This was a major issue in large projects, as the more places where script calls were used, the more modifications needed to be made.
Therefore, we have added a function to graphically display the dependencies of child scripts called by the script call function. This function also allows you to modify version specifications all at once and set the latest version to always be applied.
There are two ways to display dependencies: "List view" and "Graph view."
- List Format

- Graph format

Creating and Publishing an Application
We have added a function that enables you to package created projects and scheduled jobs as "applications" and reuse them within your organization (account under contract). This makes it easier to reuse projects and scheduled jobs when operating multiple HULFT Integrate services under the same contract.
This allows you to, for example, divide HULFT Integrate service into a development environment and a production environment,
- Quickly release developed and tested materials into the production environment
- Ensure changes made during development do not impact production
- Distribute a project that has a problem in the production environment to the development environment and investigate the problem in the development environment.
This makes it easier to distinguish between the two.
Displaying the number of executions of REST API jobs (API management)
With HULFT Square, there is a standard limit on the number of API management calls that can be made for each basic plan (Basic/Standard/Enterprise).Until now, in order to understand the number of API management calls, it was necessary to aggregate log data, which was a significant effort.
Therefore, we have added a function that allows you to see the cumulative number of calls made by day or month from the dashboard. This makes it easy to predict the number of calls made by the end of the month, supplement the number of calls with additional contracts, or review the execution plan for the following month and beyond.

New destination for the connector
The PostgreSQL connector now supports connecting to PostgreSQL 15.
Other bug fixes and enhancements
Other improvements and bug fixes have also been made.
Please refer to the release notes for more details.
